What We Do

What is leadership coaching?

Global Leadership coaching is an experiential and individualized leader development process that is designed to help global leaders influence, motivate, and lead others by building specific actions plans to achieve short- and long-term organizational goals in a global context. It is conducted through a series of powerful and purposeful conversations based on mutual trust and respect. The organization, leader, and coach work in partnership to increase leadership effectiveness and achieve business results.

What should result from Global Leadership coaching?

Awareness and understanding of self-limiting behaviors

Mastery of new attitudes, approaches, and behaviors

Self-correcting behavior exhibited in new environments

Enhanced global leadership competencies

Improved relationships and networks

How does it work?

As a coach, Rachel Shafran works with leaders who are grappling with the challenges of managing a global workforce and developing leaders with global mindsets that can successfully communicate in many different organizational contexts and cultures.

Our coaching partnership is a win-win approach in which all partners plan the program together, communicate openly, and work cooperatively toward the goal of achieving business objectives through increased leader awareness and effectiveness.

The leader, the coach, and other key stakeholders in the organization collaborate to create a partnership to ensure that the leader’s learning advances the organization’s needs and critical business mandates.

The biggest question for every organization and company is whether they have leaders who are globally ready and competent. Using a global assessment can begin the evaluation process. Read More

What leaders are the focus of our service?

Emerging Global Leaders

We work with our clients to develop the potential of leaders who have been identified as key to the organization's future or are part of the organization's succession plan. The focus of this coaching may include competency development and goal setting.

Newly Assigned Global Leaders

We work with leaders assigned or hired into new roles or positions with global responsibility. The goal of the coaching is to clarify the new competencies required for the role and examine key deliverables that need to achieved during the first few months of the assignment. The major focus of this type of coaching is on helping the new leader build capacity to lead change and achieve business objectives within a global context.

Experienced Global Leaders

We provide targeted behavioral coaching to help global leaders change specific behaviors or habits or learn new, more effective ways to work and interact with others in global teams. This type of coaching often helps individuals who are otherwise very successful in their current jobs or are taking on new responsibilities that require a change in specific behaviors in order to effectively lead a global team or operation.
